Denmark:
Matr Foods
Randi Wahlsten, CEO & Co-founder of Matr Foods, secured an incredible €20 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB). Matr is revolutionizing the plant-based food tech in Denmark, using fungi fermentation to produce sustainable meat alternatives.
With this new funding, Randi and her team are set to expand production, making it easier for consumers to choose eco-friendly and healthy food.
The 0-Mission
Danish startup The 0-Mission, co-founded by Anna Riis Hedegaard and focused on renewable energy, raised capital from business angels, including several through Angella Invest.
With a clear mission to enable businesses of all sizes to contribute as much green energy to the grid as they consume, The 0-Mission aims to empower companies to take charge of their energy usage through a flexible subscription model for solar parks.The company has already attracted notable clients across diverse industries, like Deloitte or Matas.
Sweden:
Uman Sense
Uman Sense, co-founded by Cecilia Wassélius Belfrage, raised over €260K in investment from SmiLe Inject Capital, contributing to the million euros raised to support the upcoming launch of the Stroke Alarm in the European market.
This groundbreaking technology, developed in collaboration with leading medical experts, provides early alerts in the event of a suspected stroke, enabling rapid medical intervention.
Amferia
Swedish medtech startup Amferia, founded by Saba Atefyekta, has successfully completed another investment round, raising €1.2 million from both existing and new investors, including Chalmers Ventures.
The company has already made significant progress in the animal health sector, securing important commercial agreements with major players across Europe. This investment will support the continued clinical development of Amferia's innovative technology, which harnesses antimicrobial peptides to combat bacterial infections in both animals and humans, as well as prepare for market entry.
Norway:
Vind AI
In September, Vind AI, co-founded by Helene Bøhler and Hilde Kristin Njøten, raised €3 million in a seed round led by Norrsken VC. This innovative platform for wind park design provides an online tool that leverages AI to streamline the early phases of wind project development.
By enabling customers to make smarter decisions about turbine placements, Vind AI helps optimize energy production while reducing costs. The platform has already partnered with industry giants like TotalEnergies and RWE, who appreciate its speed and flexibility in evaluating various design scenarios.
